WHAT LEADER ARE YOU, BAD,GOOD OR BOTH???

Good Leaders Show by Example How They Expect Others to Behave.

                                                            Tanzanian Prime Minister, Mizengo Pinda
Leadership is developing the adeptness to convince others to align their goals with yours and those of the organization. Until you, yourself, are able to join ranks with others in the interest of a common objective, you will never persuade them to join your campaign.

Competent leaders know the value of working side by side together, and they learn how to follow directions before being entrusted with the responsibility of the performance of others. Good leaders show by demonstration how they expect others to behave. Even though the troops may be trained to follow orders unquestioningly, the officer always leads them into battle. You cannot push others to follow your example; you must pull them along with you. When you show by your every word and action that you are a person of integrity, one who works for the better concern of the entire organization, your people will follow. Control, you will find them far more responsive to requests than to orders.

To be a good leader you must be willing to demonstrate and perform the requested task. Lead by example. If you want the bathroom floors scrubbed, you best have already performed this task yourself. It garnishes far more respect.

There is a time and place for orders. It is crucial to lead by example, the end result can be accomplished through providing the best possible demonstration. Because having been there and experienced success, you will then be able to train and mentor those who are struggling to find their way in the Organization.

There has never been a dictatorship in an organization, in history, based upon the unjust treatment of its people that has ever showed endurance and lasted. A dictator may through brute force constrain the cooperation of others for a time, but that power is never held for long. Only when leadership is cooperative will they gain the respect they deserve and willingly assemble and maintain successful organizations and alliances.

When you build an alliance or an organization based on character and balance for every member, you have built a power that will long endure.

The best way to anchor the constancy and unmovable collaboration of others is through simply putting into practice the "tried and true" Golden Rule. This method of leadership has been tested and proven time and time again. It has stood the test of time. It is a general rule of people that we all need and want love, acceptance and approval. When you treat others as you would like to be treated (with respect) were you in their situation, you will inspire allegiance and insistent cooperation. Set high standards for yourself and others, treat them well, let them do their jobs, mentor them along the way. A leader will take action and take steps that will lead him to those who can help him translate his dreams into reality.

Have you found this enduring leadership quality in your country? Can you reach out to your leaders and derive from them the respect you deserve? Can you get answers when you want to your important questions? Go ahead ask yourself these questions. If you answered no or not always to any one of these questions. You need to find a mentor who will be there when you need them and will give you the respect that you deserve.

Build People. People will build your Organization. To Your Success
